Courses
For most jobs in Alberta, students need at least a High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Achievement. Certain courses are mandatory to meet requirements. To be accepted into many post-secondary programs, specific courses are required.
It is recommended that students and parents or guardians discuss the best route to meeting Alberta High School Graduation Requirements with a school counsellor or high school administrator.
Students in Outreach Programs earn high school credits through a wide variety of provincially approved courses. Please note that most Outreach Programs courses are delivered in a paper-based, modular format and students are expected to attend in-person a minimum of 10 hours per week. Outreach Programs is not suitable for students seeking online learning.
